The automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 3135 movement is rhodium-plated, and it's constructed with a straight-line lever escapement and a shock absorber mechanism. It has a bidirectional self-winding via a perpetual rotor. It has a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions and a free-sprung self-compensating Breguet balance spring. It includes a paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring, high-performance Paraflex shock absorbers, Microstella regulating screws, and a central hacking mechanism. This watch is extremely robust, water and pressure-resistant due to its exclusive Ringlock system. This radical case architecture enables the watch to resist the enormous pressure exerted by water at a depth of 3,900 meters (12,800 feet), equal to a weight of 3 tons on the watch. The system has a nitrogen-alloyed steel central ring, accompanied by a 5 mm‑thick, domed sapphire crystal and a case back in grade 5 titanium.
This mechanism oscillates at the frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz)
The 17.8mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.
