Description:
An incredibly rare and highly attractive 1917 Rolex WWI Trench .875 Silver White Porcelain Flex Lug Wristwatch. Silver case and bezel are in excellent condition and has retained its original crown. Some expected light overall wear in keeping with age and usage. 34mm silver case is fully marked and stamped as shown. Very tight top lip and caseback seal. It is super rare to find these with its original flex lugs still attached as many examples have been converted to solid wire lugs to fit a larger NATO strap. Original plastic crystal has yellowed. The original radium Rolex signed white porcelain dial is in absolutely beautiful condition, they rarely (if ever) come better than this example. Radium Arabic markers and hands react to UV and fade equally. Rolex signed manual wind movement has been serviced.
